Supervision to Bring Broadway Musical Memphis to the Big Screen

It follows their release of the 3D film of Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance in cinemas earlier this year.

London and New York based global rights holder Supervision Media is to bring four Broadway musicals to the big screen.

The company has signed an exclusive multi year licensing agreement with Broadway Worldwide, for the rights to the four musicals, starting with Memphis which is still playing on Broadway before kicking off its US national tour this October in Memphis, Tennessee. The musical, which features an original score by Bon Jovi keyboard player David Bryan, won four 2010 Tony Awards.

The deal also includes a recorded live-in-performance of Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical starring David Hasselhoff, Stephen Sondheim's Putting It Together a musical "review" starring Carol Burnett, and Broadway's longest running musical revue and Grammy Award winning, Smokey Joe's Café: The Songs Of Leiber And Stoller. …
