Missing, Parade's End among Hot MIP Projects

Werner Herzog [pictured], Paul Verhoeven, Tom Stoppard will be among guests promoting new projects.

BBC and HBO drama Parade's End, written by Oscar-winner Tom Stoppard and starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Rebecca Hall will be among the big draws for buyers at this year's MIPCOM (Oct 3-6), the world's largest TV market, which gets underway today in Cannes.

ABC's thriller series Missing created by Gregory Poirier and starring Ashley Judd will get its world premiere at the event, as will Content Digital's thriller The Millionaire Tour starring Lost actor Dominic Monaghan.

Entertainment One and Endemol are in town with the eagerly-awaited new western Hell On Wheels, which debuts in November on AMC in the US while ZDF Enterprises will be shopping Werner Herzog's death row project Into The Abyss - A Tale of Death, A Tale Of Life.

RHI Entertainment's drama Treasure Island, directed by Steve Barron, and starring Eddie Izzard, Elijah Wood and Donald Sutherland will premiere on Syfy in the US and Sky in the UK but will be looking for more deals. …
