Tanners of Shrewsbury, one of our favourite partners, has come up with these four smashing wines at discounted prices. These are not, on the whole, for laying down. They are for opening in quantity and for getting the party started. They would, of course, also be excellent with your evening meal or weekend lunch.

The first white is an intriguing and delicious blend from Argentina, the Tierra de Luna, a blend of Chardonnay and the famous South American grape Torrontes (1). The best Torrontes has a light, heady, floral flavour - you could say it dances in the glass, if that didn't sound too pretentious. The Chardonnay base gives it a mellow weight. Altogether delicious, just right for drinking in quantity, and reduced by £11 a case to £6.99 a bottle.
