It is impossible to know all the good websites, which is why a book like this is a big help. As the title proclaims, these are sites for life, not necessarily for work, but often, the lines blur.

The author is a librarian at Crowell Public Library in San Marino, Calif. She also writes the popular Internet Express column for Searcher magazine and blogs about her internet discoveries. She uses her experience to select, sort, and annotate the many websites listed in the book.

The book is divided into five parts, covering relationships, parenting, money and home, amusements, and staying happy and healthy.
