World Cinema Fund awards production funding of $283,000 ([euro]210,000), with biggest grant to African feature The Boda Boda Thieves.

At the 15th session of the World Cinema Fund (WCF) jury, five new film projects were selected for production funding totalling $283,000 ([euro]210,000).

Funding was awarded to the following projects:

The Boda Boda Thieves, director: Donald Mugisha (Uganda), producer: Switch Films, South Africa. Feature film. Funding: $81,000 ([euro]60,000).

Workers, director: José Luís Valle (Mexico), producer: Zensky Cine, Mexico. Feature film. Funding: $53,000 ([euro]40,000).

Third Bank of the River, director: Celina Murga (Argentina), producer: Tresmilmundos Cine, Argentina. German Partner: Rommel Film e.K. Feature film. Funding: $53,000 ([euro]40,000). …
