Top Prize at Animated Dreams Festival Goes to the External World

First AnimaCampus welcomes 100 participants.

The 13th Animated Dreams film festival in Tallinn, Estonia, has given its grand prix to David O'Reilly's The External World from Germany. The prize comes with Euros 1,000.

The jury at the festival was comprised of Anna Solanas from Spain, Nobuaki Doi from Japan and Andres Mand from Estonia.

The film, a satirical comedy, also won the audience award. The jury said of it: "The film is aggressively funny and full of surprises, and invents a totally new and unique world itself."

Other prizes included best design to Alessandro Bavari's Metachaos; best story to Ulo Pikkov's Body Memory, and the brain tap award chosen by students to Stones by Katarina Kerekesova.
