Festival Scope Launches Labels Section with FIPRESCI, Global Film Initiative, Binger

Online industry platform Festival Scope has partnered with international critics group FIPRESCI to start a new section called Labels, which will offer films that have won awards at festivals or been selected by partner organisations.

The FIPRESCI area of Festival Scope now offers about 30 titles for screening, including Salesman (which won in Torino), The Tiniest Place (Mar del Plata), Eighty Letters (Thessaloniki), Yatasto (Viennale). More films will be added along the year.

The section is called "Labels" and is aimed at providing additional visibility to the films awarded in festivals or selected by partner organisations.

Another partner in the Labels section is Global Film Initiative, which presents 10 films as part of Global Lens 2012. Those titles include Morteza Farshbaf's Mourning and Paula Markovitch's The Prize.

The final launch partner for Labels is the Binger Filmlab, which will offer filmmakers' info and past work from its lab participants. …
