Guidelines cater for Welsh speakers

The Welsh Government has published guidelines to ensure that older people in hospitals or care homes can communicate in Welsh if they prefer to. Social services minister Gwenda Thomas, said: 'Providing a bilingual service for older people allows them to express their care preferences and uphold a level of dignity which they deserve.'

Telecoms project increases speeds

Broadband speeds have been increased across Northern Ireland, Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has announced. More than £52m of public and private sector funds have been invested in Northern Ireland's telecommunications infrastructure as part of the Next Generation Broadband Project. Foster hailed the network as a 'tremendous asset'.
