Orange Launches Film Pulse Web Tool

Article excerpt

Tool collates opinion from across the Internet and summarises the 'love' for a film out of 100.

Orange have today launched the Orange Film Pulse, a new tool that summarises the opinion of a film from across the Internet and then awards it a score out of 100 to indicate the amount of 'love' towards it.

Launched as part of their sponsorship of the BAFTAs and in time for the awards season, the Film Pulse scans social media networks, including Facebook and Twitter, and reviews from leading film websites and blogs. It then uses a dedicated algorithm to analyse the coverage to summarise its score. Currently, awards front runner The Artist leads the way with a love score of 94, with New Year's Eve bottom of the pile with just 34.

Users can also search for the films available for both the Orange Wednesdays and their Film To Go rental offers, with Orange customers able to click on the film title and request a code to watch that film. …
