UK producer Emma Biggins, who is taking part in the Berlinale Talent Campus this year, is to produce sci fi thriller The Calling, for her company Multistory Films.

Writer-director Jeff Norton is developing the feature, about five teenage strangers who wake up in a high-tech prison, only to discover that they are actually on a manmade spaceship hurtling to a trial for humanity's future. It is being billed as The Breakfast Club meets Moon. Biggins will start packaging the project In Berlin.Biggins founded Multistory Films in 2009, going to on produce revenge horror The Harsh Light Of The Day, written and directed by Oliver S. Milburn,which will be released in the UK theatrically by Left Films in April 2012.Her second project is short film Palme d'Or nominee Ben Crowe's feature directorial debut Verity's Summer, which has just completed post-production. …
