Jens Jonsson to Direct Third Film in Easy Money Trilogy

Swedish writer-director Jens Jonsson, whose 2008 feature The King of Ping Pong won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance, will direct the third and final instalment in the EasyMoney (Snabba Cash) thriller trilogy.

The third film will go into production while Babak Najafi is still readying the second instalment for the August 31 domestic launch.

The 2010 original, which became a local blockbuster with 620,000 admissions, proved a Hollywood career maker both for director Daniel Espinosa and lead actor Joel Kinnamon. Espinosa has directed Universal's Safe House and Kinnamon has been attached to José Padilha's RoboCop.

Based on Swedish lawyer-turned-author Jens Lapidus' StockholmNoir novels, starring Kinnaman, Matias Varela and Dragomir Mrsic, the trilogy follows JW, a poor young student with a double life in the wealthy Stockholm elite and organised crime. …
