What do teachers and studio owners think about providing teacher training in studios?

I think teacher training is a fantastic way to have synergy in your staff, even if they are already trained to teach. I went through a program that included chat sessions in which the staff shared ideas, and it was really valuable. It helped the teachers on a social level, too.

The studio I used to work with had a great training program for teachers. I started out as a student teacher and upon graduation moved up to assistant dance instructor with a salary. After two years, I left the studio and now work as a dance instructor. As an assistant you get to see how the class is run and work with the kids without the responsibility of lesson plans and discipline.
