Edinburgh Film Festival to Close with Disney-Pixar's Brave

It will be the European premiere of the film, which is set in Scotland and features the voices of Billy Connolly, Kelly Macdonald and Robbie Coltrane.

The 66th edition of the Edinburgh International Film Festival will close June 30 with the European premiere of Disney-Pixar's Brave.

Directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, the animated film is set in mythical Scotland and is voiced by Scots including Billy Connolly, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson, Kelly Macdonald and Robbie Coltrane.

It is due to be released across the UK on Aug 17.

Chris Fujiwara, who makes his debut as artistic director at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival, said the premiere would "continue the Festival's long relationship with Disney. Though we are an international film festival, we're mindful that we have a special responsibility to Scotland's cinematic image. …
