Cinedigm/New Video Take US Rights to SXSW Hit Citadel

Cinedigm and New Video have jointly taken US rights to Citadel, the winner of the audience award at SXSW's Midnighter section.

Ciaran Foy's feature directorial debut is an Ireland-set horror film starring Aneurin Barnard as a young widower with agoraphobia who is terrorised by a gang of feral youths who want to take his infant daughter. The cast also features James Cosmo, Wunmi Mosaku, Jake Wilson and Amy Shiels.

Cinedigm will release theatrically in the autumn, followed New Videos' home entertainment, digital and on demand releases in early 2013. This marks the first acquisition under the companies' new partnership.

Citadel is an Irish-Scottish co-production by Blinder Films and Sigma Films, and is funded by the Irish Film Board, Creative Scotland, Section 481 and UK Tax Credit
