This disc is sub labeled "Arbors Piano Series, Volume 22". I'm sure this is not done in a manner to rank the accomplishments and ability of each pianist, for I'd rank this fellow at or near the top and he gets better and better, with a broader repertoire. This CD runs the gambit from Cootie Williams (the opening tune) through Thad Jones, Frank Wess, JJ Johnson, Bill Evans, Tommy Flanagan, Leonard Bernstein, several songs out of the great American songbook, and JS Bach. …
