While Warner Bros.' "Wrath of the Titans" ($42.1 million) again conquered the overseas B.O. over the most recent sesh (April 6-8), Paramount and Fox Intl.'s 3D rerelease of "Titanic" made waves in its opening frame, collecting $35.3 million from an expansive 84-country spread.

"Titanic" 3D earned top marks in debut markets including the U.K. ($4.4 million) and Germany ($3.4 million), though China - where the pic debuted April 10 - shined brightest, contributing $11.6 million just from its opening day locally. Pic's Chinese take was Fox's biggest opening day there ever and the country's secondbiggest behind "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" at $15 million.

Fox Intl. released "Titanic" internationally, while Par handled domestic rights.

The 3D re-do's stellar start in China was boosted by the pic's Imax presentation, which contributed $1 million from only 64 theaters, for a per-screen average of $15,625. Pic played at a total approximately 2,400 3D screens in China.

The film's hearty start is impressive given its three-hourplus runtime, which posed difficulties in securing screens - both domestically and abroad. …
