Savage Strikes on Roskam's Faithful

Roskam's film noir is one of several projects that the Belgian production outfit is working on.

Belgian production outfit Savage Film is working on Bullhead [pictured] director Michael R Roskam's new film, The Faithful (La Fidele). The film noir is set against gang warfare in Brussels in the late 1980s.

Also, Bullhead actor Matthias Shoenaerts will make his directorial debut with feature documentary Franky, a portrait of his one-legged friend. It is billed as "a powerful feature-length documentary about loss, courage, bad luck, friendship and social (in)justice."

Savage is also backing Equator by Hans Van Nuffel (Oxygen). The thriller is set in the Congo and South Africa, where the daughter of a recently deceased Belgian businessman tries to discover what really happened to her father. …
