Who knew Gillian Anderson - or the betrench-coated Special Agent Dana Scully, as we'll always remember her - was so versatile? We're speaking, of course, about the actress's career transition from paranormal sleuth to one of literature's most notorious costume-drama crones, Miss Havisham, on the current BBC adaptation of Great Expectations. But the fair-haired firebrand had an even bigger fish to fry in the pages of last month's magazine ("The Double Life of Gillian Anderson"): her teenage dalliance with bisexuality. "I was in a relationship with a girl for a long time when I was in high school," said Anderson, nonchalantly, which was surely pleasing news to her long-time LGBT fan base.

"I knew it! I'm so happy!" wrote commenter Erin on Out.com. "If I can time travel and plonk myself as a teenager in Grand Rapids [where Anderson grew up] in the 19803, I've got a chance!!"

Opportune time-traveling aside, another reader found it encouraging to have another LGBT ally in Hollywood, but noticed, despite the growing number of bi-identified celebs, a discrepancy in gender.
