Shanghai Fest Unveils Jury and Projects Line-Up

Actress Heather Graham, producer Terence Chang and Hungarian filmmaker Bela Tarr are among the jury members for the Golden Goblet Awards at the 15th Shanghai International Film Festival (June 16-24).

The Golden Goblet Awards are SIFF's main competition section. The seven-strong jury will be chaired by French filmmaker Jean-Jacques Annaud and also include Iranian filmmaker Rakhshan Banietemad, Chinese actress Li Bingbing (Snow Flower And The Secret Fan) and Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yang (Full Circle).

SIFF has also announced the line-up for its SIFF Project Market (June 17-20). Eight Chinese projects and 25 Chinese-foreign co-production projects were selected from 206 submissions.

The eight Chinese projects include Arrival, from Golden Horse and SIFF Asian New Talent award winner Teng Yung-shing, to be produced by Hou Hsiao-hsien's 3H Productions; Chen Tao's Rainbow, to be produced by Jia Zhangke's Xstream Pictures, and Li Yang's To Kill A Demon. …
