Les Films Du Losange Closes Final Big Territories on Amour

Asian and Latin American distributors fall for Michael Haneke's Palme d'Or winner Amour.

Paris-based producer and sales agent Les Films du Losange has closed a final slew of big territories on Mickael Haneke's tale of octogenarian Amour following its Palme d'Or win at Cannes.

"The film was already sold in some 30 territories before the festival but at Cannes we closed a number of key Asian and Latin American territories," commented head of international sales Agathe Valentin.

In Latin America, Amour was sold to Argentina (CDI Films), Brazil (Imovision), Colombia (Babilla Cine) and Mexico (Mantarraya).

In Asia, the picture was acquired for Japan (Longride), Korea (Tcast), Hong Kong (First Distributors) and Taiwan (Swallow Wings Films). Transmission Films picked the film up for Australia.
