William Moseley Headlines Gossner's Alpine Drama

UK actor William Moseley - who appeared in The Chronicles of Narnia trilogy - is headlining Ernst Gossner's second feature, the Der Stille Berg (The Silent Mountain) which will begin shooting in South Tyrol for six weeks from this Saturday (June 16).

Clemens Aufderklamm's screenplay centres on a love story set in 1915 between the 18-year-old South Tirolean Andreas (played by Moseley) who falls in love with the young Italian girl Francesca (Eugenia Costantini). But their love has no time to blossom as the young man is sent to the front the very next day - Italy has declared war on the Austro-Hungarian empire and turns the Dolomites into one of the most bizarre battlefields in the history of mankind.

The international cast also includes the Italian acting legend Claudia Cardinale, Austrian actors Fritz Karl, Harald Windisch and Emily Cox as well as Italy's Giulio Cristini, Corrado Invernizzi and Michael Cadeddu. …
