The Seasoning House, Tower Block Bookend FrightFest 2012

13th edition runs August 23-27.

The world premiere of Paul Hyett's directorial debut The Seasoning House will open this year's edition of Film4 FrightFest on August 23, which takes place at the Empire Cinema, Leicester Square in London.

Hyett's psychological horror, set in a Balkan brothel, stars Sean Pertwee and Rosie Day, making her feature debut as the deaf-mute brothel worker Angel. Hyett and the cast will be attending the premiere.

James Nunn and Ronnie Thompson's suspense shocker Tower Block [pictured], starring Sheridan Smith, Jack O'Connell and Russell Tovey, will receive its world premiere as the festival's closing film on August 27, with the directors and cast in attendance.

Film4 FrightFest co-director Alan Jones commented: "Once more Film4 FrightFest is delighted to be showcasing the key British talent of the future with our opening choice of The Seasoning House, and our closing film, Tower Block. …
