Good Pitch 2012 Projects Include Call Me Kuchu, Big Boys Gone Bananas

The 2012 Good Pitch Europe, organised by BRITDOC and The Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program, has announced the 8 projects which have been selected to be part of its one day pitching event on June 25.

The teams selected will take part in an intensive two-day campaign development workshop, before pitching their films to a group of leading European foundations, NGOs, policymakers, brands, advertising and digital agencies at the event, which is held in London. The teams have seven minutes to pitch their films and associated outreach campaigns.

Confirmed organisations include WWF, Oxfam, Human Rights Watch, Index on Censorship, Refugee Action, Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust, Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, Big Lottery Fund, The Body Shop Foundation, Wellcome Trust, Amnesty, BBC, Channel 4, Greenpeace, Kickstarter, Comic Relief, BFI and The Rory Peck Trust.

The eight projects being pitched are:

Big Boys Gone Bananas!*, dir. Fredrik Gertten - the story of a small film production against fruit company Dole.

Call Me Kuchu, dir. Malika Zouhali-Worrall & Katherine Fairfax Wright - In Uganda, a bill threatens to make homosexuality punishable by death. …
