StudioCanal Acquires Rufus Norris' Broken for UK

StudioCanal has acquired UK rights to Rufus Norris' debut feature Broken. The UK drama had its world premiere as the opening selection for Cannes Critics' Week 2012.

The film stars Tim Roth, Cillian Murphy and Eloise Laurence.

Mark O'Rowe adapted the screenplay from Daniel Clay's novel, about an 11-year old girl whose innocent vision of the world is shattered when she witnesses a violent assault.

The deal was negotiated by StudioCanal CEO Danny Perkins and Carole Baraton of Wild Bunch.
