Responsive Database Services, Inc. has announced that its database, Business & Industry (B&I), is now available to clients and members of two leading information services, FT Profile and ChemWeb. This brings the distribution partners through which B&I is now available to a total of nine.

FT Profile, a U.K. and European information service, has added B&I to its full range of services available to clients. The database is accessible individually as B&I, through the SUPERGROUP, FT Discovery News Reporter, FT News Alert, and through Industry Collections. B&I is updated daily and covers over 1,000 international trade and business publications. The FIs Profile staff say that B&I's in-depth indexing is indispensable for inquiries on market size and share, for tracking both one's own progress and one's competitors, and for evaluating new prospects. According to the company, B&I also includes thousands of tables from its source literature often omitted by other information providers covering the same sources, and, in this sense, adds data previously unavailable through the services of FT Profile.

ChemWeb is a lab- or office-based working tool that gives users in the chemical community an Internet-based resource on their desktop. Initially, ChemWeb offered members full content of a large collection of fully searchable chemistry journals, monographs, chemical dictionaries and databases, and real-time discussion groups.

B&I adds to the collection of information resources for chemists and information professionals in the chemical industries and also covers the downstream industries that consume chemical industry products in their manufacturing. …
