Warner Bros Eyes Fifth Weekend of International Rule for DKR

The Dark Knight Rises has amassed $464m through Warner Bros Pictures International and the question is can it stay top for the fifth consecutive weekend.

Batman will face stiff competition from a pair of Universal films that are poised to play well. Universal Pictures International's R-rated comedy Ted stands at $124.6m after grossing more than $20m last weekend and will pose a threat as word of mouth builds on the US summer breakout.

The Bourne Legacy has raced to an early $9.6m and opens in the UK, Australia, Spain and New Zealand. Universal also has The Expendables 2 in Russia in Italy, both of which open day-and-date with North America this weekend.

ParaNorman, Laika Entertainment's animated follow-up to Coraline, stands at an early $5.5m and arrives in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and the Netherlands among several others day-and-date with North America. …
