* Nature Publishing Group's (NPG) Linked Data Platform now features more than 270 million Resource Description Framework statements. The data sets have been created under the Creative Commons Zero (CCO) waiver that allows maximal use/reuse of the data, all of which is updated in real time. New triples are also being added dynamically to the data sets as articles are published on the site. Bibliographic metadata is being included for all NPG titles, from Scientific American (dating from 1845) and NPG's academic journals published on behalf of its society partners. * Linkedln Corp. rolled out two new features for Linkedln Today, its social news product. The first feature lets users like and comment on news articles; the second is a new tab called Trending in Your Network, which is another option where users can filter professional news articles and industry updates. * Palgrave Macmillan announced that it will be releasing Palgrave Pivot, a peerreviewed journal, this fall. Palgrave Pivot is the first journal of its kind that lets authors publish their intermediarylength research within 12 weeks of acceptance after full peer review. * The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) announced that it will launch the first not-for-profit, open access (OA), online-only megajournal in 2013. The megajournal will accept papers beginning in fall 2012 for a range of engineering topics to encourage cross-disciplinary discussion. The OA option will be added to the 26 existing IET journals.
