Five finalists' work to be performed in a concert on Thursday.

Zurich hosts the first International Film Music Competition this year, with a concert of the finalists' work planned for Thursday at the Tonhalle [pictured] with the Orchester Zurich led by conductor David Zinman.

International composers aged 35 and under were asked to create a score for the short film Evermore by Swiss filmmaker Philip Hofmänner.

The finalists are Adrian Diery (Australia), Jan Glembotzki (Japan), Anze Rozman (Slovenia), Adam Zurada (Poland), Michael Künstle (Switzerland)

Jury members David Zinman, Annette Focks, Philip Hofmänner and Henning Lohner chose the five finalists from 145 entries. The winner will be announced at the concert, and the winner receives a cash prize of CHF 10,000 offered from Credit Suisse, Die Schweizerische Post and Audi. …
