When Pamela was in second grade at P.S. 79 in Queens, NY, Ballet Tech came to audition all the students for the company's school. Pamela was among those picked, which meant Ballet Tech picked up her group each day for a 10:30 am dance class. The students were then shuttled back to school. Pamela was accepted in the program each subsequent year, and by the end of fifth grade she was accepted into the Ballet Tech school as a full-- time student. Now in 1 Ith grade, she spends each day from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm at the Manhattan school. She spends an hour-and-a-- half to two hours a day in technique class and the rest of the time in academic classes. This year Pamela was asked to be a Big Butterfly in Ballet Tech's production of Papillion.
