Philippos Tsitos' Unfair World (Adikos kosmos) is the Greek submission to the Foreign Language Academy Award race.

The film was selected after having garnered the best director and best actor nods (for the leading player Antonis Kafetzopoulos) at last year's San Sebastian Film Festival. It also swept the floor at this year Hellenic Film Academy awards bringing home four trophies, among them best director for Tsitos and best actors for Kafetzopoulos and Christos Stergioglou.Based on a screenplay by the director and Dora Masklavanou, Unfair World follows a lonely police officer who, fed up with the injustices of the judicial system, decides to grant justice according to his own moral standards.Shot in a linear style reminding of the Kaurismaki approach, this is Tsito's third feature and reflects the actual moral, social, political as well as financial crisis in the country. …
