Box Office Hits the Thieves and Masquerade to Bookend London Korean Film Festival

Seventh edition of the festival runs Nov 1-11.

With the help of the Korean Cultural Centre UK, the seventh annual London Korean Film Festival (LKFF) will return to the Odeon West End and Institute of Contemporary Arts on Nov 1.

The festival, which runs until Nov 11, will open with the European premiere of Choi Dong-hoon's The Thieves [pictured] and end with Choo Chang-min's Masquerade.

The Thieves, which broke records earlier this year to become the biggest local film of all time, chronicles a group of thieves who embark on their biggest ever job. Actor Kim Yoon-suk, who also starred in The Yellow Sea, will attend the premiere and join Dong-hoon for a Q&A following the screening.

Dong-hoon will also be featured in a 'Directrospective' in which an additional three of his films - The High Rollers, Woochi and The Big Swindle - will be screened.

Actor Lee Byunghun is expected to hold a Q&A for Masquerade after its premiere. …
