Black Nights Unveils Titles for Inaugural Tridens Herring Competition

Feature debut competition replaces previous Baltic competition aiming to present young talent from around the Baltic Sea.

Films from the Baltic region will compete against entries from the likes of Poland, Germany and Norway in the inaugural Tridens Herring feature debut competition at the upcoming Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, which runs Nov 12-28.

Tridens Herring replaces the previous Baltic competition aiming to present young talent from around the Baltic Sea. "In the recent years many young and interesting film makers have emerged in the Baltic film industry, who are up to a comparison even in the context of very strong film countries. That's why we decided that the previous Baltic programme needs to be extended," explained festival director Tiina Lokk.
