The film revolves around Salgado's eight-year project Genesis, which captured parts of the world untouched by modern civilisation.

The Genesis exhibition -- consisting of 250 black and white images - will debut at London's Natural History Museum in April 2013, before touring the world. It is Salgado's third long-term project focused on global issues after Workers and Migrations.

Shade and Light, which will be ready in time for the exhibition's launch, combines exclusive footage of the photographer at work - shot by his son Juliano - with a filmed encounter between Wenders and Salgado in which they discuss their mutual passion for photography. …
