Rotterdam Names Dutch Co-Pro Titles

Film projects from the Netherlands have been selected for CineMart 2013, including new titles from veteran director Alex van Warmerdam and Kauwboy [pictured] director Boudewijn Koole.

CineMart, the co-production market of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), has selected five films from the Netherlands for presentation to potential co-financiers.

The titles include Dinsdag is een Geluksdag (Tuesday is a Lucky Day), produced by Graniet Film, is from veteran director, writer and actor Alex van Warmerdam. In the film, "a man gets an important assignment that needs to be executed on his birthday".

Boudewijn Koole, whose first feature Kauwboy is the official Oscar entry from the Netherlands in the Best Foreign Language Film category, returns with Verdwijnen (Disappearance).

Produced by Waterland Film, it centres on a young woman who travels to Sweden to bring her mother important news.

Everything We Always Had Was Now, from director Martijn Maria Smits, centres on a young couple who experience jealousy and rekindled love while looking to sell their apartment. …
