Twilight, Skyfall, Guardians Set to Rule Again in International

With The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, Skyfall and Rise of the Guardians still dominant, and the big holiday releases yet to come, there are only a handful of major-territory openings in the international marketplace this weekend.

Five of the new openings come courtesy of Universal Pictures International (UPI).

The studio's Anna Karenina, which as of Monday (Dec 3) had grossed $11.6m internationally, opened on Wednesday (Dec 5) in France and Thursday (Dec 6) in Germany.

UPI's The Man With The Iron Fists, with $1.6m from international as of Monday, arrived in Australia on Thursday and reaches the UK on Friday (Dec 7).

The company has Moonrise Kingdom entering Mexico on Friday and Pitch Perfect ($4.9m international to date) opening in Australia on Thursday and Brazil on Friday.

The studio opened Playing the Field in Russia on Thursday and reported updated international grosses for Ted ($283.1m), The Bourne Legacy ($162. …
