The mantra for our industry has always been location, location, location. As we move into the 21st Century, the Institute's mantra will need to be globalization, globalization, globalization.

Eager to learn American ways of doing business, foreign countries including those in Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America are reaching out to U.S. organizations for education and information, thus creating an ever-increasing demand for our services and expertise.

Long committed to the goal of achieving a global presence, the Institute of Real Estate Management continues to partner with international real estate organizations via protocol agreements, certification and sponsorship of course offerings. In 2003, we anticipate that real estate professionals from outside the United States will comprise 20 percent of our student population.

As we work to expand our international network of partners and integrate a global focus throughout the organization, the Institute will concentrate this year on achieving specific goals including:

* Developing a comprehensive services package and dues structure for members outside of the United States. …
