News and Notes from IREM(R) Headquarters


During last November's Education Conference in Dallas, Patricia A. Nooney, CPM(R), of St. Louis, was elected 2003 IREM(R) president. Nooney is senior vice president of asset management and treasurer of American Spectrum Realty, Inc., a real estate investment and management company that owns more than 3.8 million square feet. Nooney oversees the company's portfolio of office, warehouse, apartment and shopping center properties with an approximate value of $268 million. She has 20 years of experience in asset management, property management, brokerage, financial and consulting services.

"Having been involved with IREM locally and nationally for many years, I have first hand knowledge of the Institute's past accomplishments and want to continue to expand on them by delivering new products and services that will directly benefit our members and assist them in their professional life," Nooney said. "I am honored to lead the Institute as we continue to be the real estate industry's most respected and comprehensive provider of property management education and information."

Nooney served as 2001 SecretaryTreasurer and 2002 President-Elect of the Institute and has been honored as CERTIFIED PROPERTY MANAGER of the Year by St. Louis Chapter No. 11. She is past president of the St. Louis chapters of IREM and CCIM, and has served on a number of national committees for both organizations. She has served as national Senior Vice President of the Legislative, Services, Communications and ACCREDITED RESIDENTIAL MANAGER Divisions for the Institute.

Active in the St. Louis commercial real estate industry for the past two decades, Nooney is a member of the National Association of REALTORS, and is also a member of the St. Louis chapters of Commercial Real Estate Women and CCIM. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Miami, and is a licensed real estate broker in the states of Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and Minnesota.


The Institute also elected David Lane, CPM, as 2003 President-Elect. Lane is president and CEO of Coldwell Banker Commercial Ridgway Lane & Associates, Inc. …
