Plan for 24-hour end-of-life care

Welsh health minister Lesley Griffiths has set out plans to improve end-of-life care for all terminally ill patients over the years to 2016, including round-the-clock support. All NHS organisations in Wales will also be required to publish an annual report on their end-of-life services.

FOCUS ON YOUTH

NI survey on youth services

In Northern Ireland, experts and the public are being asked for their views on what the priorities for youth workers should be in a 12-week consultation on plans to improve youth services. It places a greater emphasis on the needs of disadvantaged young people and ensures the objectives of youth services are in line with educational priorities.
