Sundance: Women in Film Awards $30,000 in Grants

The organisation announced the awards at its seventh annual Sundance Filmmakers Panel discussion and brunch on Sunday.

Jordana Spiro, whose short film Skin plays in the festival, received the Women In Film / CalmDown Productions Grant while US Documentary Competition After Tiller's directors Martha Shane and Lana Wilson received the Women In Film Documentary Grant.

Spiro takes home $5,000 from Women In Film and CalmDown Productions, along with 5,000 feet of film stock from Eastman Kodak, $1,000 worth of scheduling and budgeting software from Entertainment Partners, and $5,000 in post-production services from Technicolor.

Shane and Wilson received $5,000 from Women In Film for their work on After Tiller as well as $1,000 worth of scheduling and budgeting software from Entertainment Partners.

Women In Film and Entertainment Partners will also donate the remaining $8,000 grant in budgeting software to the Sundance Institute Narrative Program. …
