Snaring poachers

Young mountain gorillas in Rwanda have been taking the fight against poachers into their own hands - literally. The gorillas were spotted in Volcanoes National Park in the northwest of the country, working together to destroy hidden rope-and-branch snares. This is thought to be the first time juvenile gorillas have been seen destroying traps.

Japanese toilet maker TOTO is putting animal excrement to good use in its 'poop-powered' motorbike. The Toilet Bike Neo can travel as far as 300 kilometres on a full tank of animal waste. Its design plays to Its unusual fuel, with a toilet seat to sit on. TOTO intends to use the vehicle to raise awareness of its green campaign.
