Marc Samuelson Joins Pact

The UK's trade body for independent film and TV producers has bolstered film production expertise with the appointment of Marc Samuelson to its board.

The UK producer has been co-opted to the Pact Council as the organisation's film representative.

Samuelson's credits as an independent film producer include TT3D: Closer to the Edge, Me & Orson Welles, Wilde and Arlington Road. He also executive-produced The Disappearance of Alice Creed, The Libertine, Chico and Rita and TV series The Shadow Line.

He was previously a director of CinemaNX, the film investment company backed by the Isle of Man government. He departed in mid-2012 to relaunch his company Samuelson Productions.

A former board member of the UK Film Council and Governor of the National Film and Television School, Samuelson now has a slate of film and television projects in various stages of packaging and development including the recently announced Belly Dancing for Beginners to be directed by Debbie Isitt (Nativity 2) starring Sheridan Smith. …
