Ang Lee Joins 3D Creative Summit

Ang Lee, who scooped this year's Best Director Oscar for Life of Pi, is to speak at the inaugural 3D Creative Summit alongside the film's VFX consultant, David Conley.

Lee will discuss the award-winning film and whether he will return to the 3D format on future projects via a live link-up.

Conley, who has also worked on Cloverfield, Terminator Salvation and Pirates of the Caribbean, will be at the event in London, which will be held at the BFI from March 27-28.

Also joining the line-up is Frank Passingham, DoP at Aardman Animations, who will recall how the production company approached their first 3D feature, Pirates in an Adventure with Scientists.

As previously reported, the event's speakers also include Vision3's Chris Parks talking about Jack The Giant Slayer, David Attenborough discussing Galapagos, and Ben Timlett talking about A Liar's Autobiography. …
