Eric Fellner to chair board of new organisation called Film Nation UK.

The British Film Institute (BFI) has revealed further details of its £26m ($40m) film education push with the launch of new organisation Film Nation, which will oversee its programme for youngsters aged 5-19 and all 26,700 schools in the UK.

The programme, set to launch in September 2013, will see £26m of Lottery money channelled over four years between 2013-17.

While specific details of the programme have yet to be revealed, the BFI has said the programme will "deliver a rich cultural and educational relationship with film in the classroom, at after school film clubs and outside of school, including a new digital platform."

Working Title's Eric Fellner will chair the board which will also comprise Barbara Broccoli, Heather Rabbatts and Beeban Kidron, among others. …
