Liz Childs is a product of New York City although she now resides in Connecticut. She is an accomplished pianist but does not touch the keyboard on this disc. Her voice is special. She has that gift of projecting a song. She knows and lives the lyrics. A good example of this is the fourth tune on this disc She starts out with the Bobby Troup song Baby, Baby All The Time and interlopes the Bessie Smith opus Reckless Blues and does it so seamlessly. She obvious has an exceptional knowledge of jazz history. …
