This CD is a direct reissue of the ABC Paramount ABC 529 long play record. Chris Connor, by this time, had had a career as band singer with Stan Kenton, plus a contract as a single first with Bethlehem Records and then Atlantic. Her recording career started in the mid 50's and ended up only several years ago in the early 2000's. She passed away in 2009. This current disc then finds her not even midway through her career. She is in fine form here, but comparing this recording with her previous work, it is in less of a jazz vein. …
