Pat Butler, Charles Cecil and Oona King appointed to the BFI board.

The BFI has named Libby Savill as its new deputy chair.

Savill, who has served on the board for two years, is a partner at O'Melveny & Myers in its Entertainment, Sports and Media Practice. She previously headed Olswang's film and TV team.

Savill has worked in the industry for 24 years and has worked on films including The King's Speech, The Full Monty, Hugo, An Education and the James Bond films.

BFI chair Greg Dyke said: "Libby combines pragmatism with one of the best legal minds in the entertainment industries and she is a great asset to the board."

The BFI has also appointed three new members to its governing board.

Pat Butler, Charles Cecil and Oona King attended their first BFI Board meeting on April 25 with the eight existing governors, Dyke and BFI CEO Amanda Nevill. …
