Picturehouse plans five-screen cinema at Rambert Company's former Chiswick High Road property.

City Screen is planning to expand its fleet of Picturehouse cinemas with a five-screen Chiswick High Road venue.

Picturehouse has exchanged contracts with the Rambert Dance Company for its west London, Chiswick High Road property.

The exhibitor plans to convert the property into a cinema with five screens, a bar and café. A planning application is currently with the London Borough of Hounslow and Picturehouse.

The Rambert, which has been based in Chiswick since 1971, is moving to the South Bank later this year.
