Canadian Screen Awards to Allow Online Submissions

Contenders for the 2014 Canadian Screen Awards will be able to apply online for the first time following a deal between The Academy Of Canadian Cinema & Television and secure digital media management company Yangaroo.

The Academy's online application site for television and digital media entries will go live in mid-July, with a mid-August entry deadline for those categories. Film entries will open up in mid-September with a mid-October deadline.

Under the terms of the agreement, the latter will provide, maintain and host a digital awards system for the Academy that will also enable the secure upload of films, television shows, digital media productions, trailers and photos and provide jurors with secure links to streaming video clips.
