India has become the largest country to ban captive dolphin shows, joining Costa Rica, Hungary and Chile in standing by our flippered friends. The Ministry of Environment and Forests has stated that the animals should be seen as 'non-human persons' thanks to their high levels of intelligence, and says that keeping them captive for entertainment is 'morally unacceptable'.

'Bomb-maker' to NASA

Curious Florida teen Kiera Wilmot was expelled, arrested and charged with two crimes after creating a small explosion with a sneaky science experiment at her high school. The charges were dropped after an outcry and wealthy NASA veteran Homer Hickam has since decided to send the 16-year-old and her twin sister to space camp. Hickam also had a brush with the law while at school in the 1950s, thanks to his projects building rockets. …
