The story of how this CD came to be is marvelous. Tapes of Wes Montgomery were offered on eBay. They were subsequently picked up by a collector who realized he had something special. He in turn got in touch with Michael Cuscuna who in turn got in touch with Zev Feldman of Resonance Records. The story is not finished. Feldman made several trips to Indianapolis to find out as much information as he could regarding this music. He talked with the Montgomery family, friends of Wes Montgomery and any other lead he could find. He was able to come up with some very valuable information such as the personnel shown above and the fact that some of the music was recorded in a studio (name not recalled)' Other tunes were recorded live, some at the Hub Bub a famous black club in Indianapolis. …
